I have been trying to attach some audio clips to a couple of buttons on my TSU9600 and have run into some issues. The files play either very broken up or not at all. Anyone have any similar issues with this? I have been trying to use some R2-D2 chirps (I know - very original ;). They are in .wav format. When I use the simulator, they don't play at all (I'm assuming that's the way it's supposed to be). Any ideas? If you call November current - I'm using the latest firmware and software.

Sound files need to be saved as 8-bit mono wave files. The Sound Recorder in Windows can be used to resave your file(s) accordingly.

According to the info I have, WAV files should be 16-bit, mono, 44.1kHz Windows PCM format.

I see that as well gbk33. During the beta test I had the same problem with audio files. They were breaking up or not playing at all. The Pronto team did clarify for me the format to save sound files in which worked. Unfortunately I can't find details of this in my notes taken during the beta test. Perhaps others could chime in.

Thanks for chiming in Daniel. Let us know how you make out gbk33.

Pulled this from the PEP FAQ:
How do I add new custom sounds in the editor?
Custom sounds can be added by copying the desired .wav file to the Sounds folder which can be found directly under the ProntoEdit Professionals installation directory. Make sure the format is 16 bit, mono at 44 kHz. Also note that if you want to share your configuration file with others, you will also have to separately share the sound files as they are not embedded in the configuration file.

Also make sure you're saving them as "Windows PCM" format and not something else such as "Microsoft ADPCM" or "PCM Raw".
