Dear All,
I need to control 30 relais with my Tsu 9600/Rfx9600. What is the best and simple hardware that can be use as extension of the rfx9600/rs232 or via Ip to be use in the Tsu 9600 system, via Rs232 or Ip? I need also clear info how to use it, best if I can download them to check them before to buy the system.

Ikon AVS do a range of products called Podules and Peas, there is one that will do rs232 to 8 open collector drivers (control 8 relays).

www.ikonavs.com

They are based in the uk but have agents around the world..
Pronto still one of the best Wi-Fi Remotes,

Poojoe has a board with 8 relays per board that can be daisy-chained off one RS-232 port of RFX9600 that would allow you to control many relays off one port.

Also try Weeder technology on the web. I use their products. They have Digital IO boards and relay boards that are also daisy chained off a single rs232 port. The digital IO boards could drive 14 relays per board, the relay board has 4 solid state relays per board The RS232 protocol is very simple and straightforward.

Yes I use the solid state relays in my world for Home Automation. In some cases I just have them driving an outboard RS 12v relay, depending on what I need to do and how much power I need to switch. They are reliable and the fact that the boards just plug into each other makes it nice. If you go to my Web Site (www.the-gordons.net) and hunt around in the Home Automation area under downloads and documents there is a document on how I implementd home automation at my house. It has pictures of how I set up the weeder boards and some discussions on their use.
