Can someone please tell me how to go about taking the high def channel icons available at www.lyngsat-logo.com and converting them into buttons for use in PEP 2 on the TSU 9400?

I've saved most of the logos I need and can convert them to .png, .tiff, or whatever, but I don't know how to take it from there and import it into Pronto as a button, especially a logo that looks like a button with the beveled edges.

Thanks!

By George I think I got it.

Sorry for not doing a thorough enough search here, but it looks like I need to use the Guifx Co-Pilot software to make the buttons and then upload them to the applicable gallery file in the PEP2 file area.

Is that about it?

Anyway, I'll give it a try and if I fail; well, in the immortal words of the Governor of CA..."I'll be back.".

You can do it with that software, or just another image editor like Photoshop and many others.

If you upload them in de gallery maps from PEP2, make sure to name them:
"BUTTONNAME_P.png" for the pressed button
"BUTTONNAME_R.png" for the released button

That should do it.

When adding images in the gallery, i need to restart PEP2 before i see them.

You do not need to go through the gallery (unless you want to). Just go to properties for the button and change the images used for pressed and released state.

I like them but how are you getting (or making) a "pressed" state of them? Also wouldn't they make better buttons if they were 3D looking and maybe a different color background?

You have different solutions to give a 3D effect to buttons :

1. Adobe PSD overlay
You can find it on this website :

2. Look at this thread where different methods for making your own icons are explained :
