I have a new 9200, basic setup and programming is complete. I am programming the favorite channels but when I try to enter an extended chanel such as 5-1 it does not work. I am able to actually enter the digits in the program but when I try to use it the remote just sends 51. I have a Hitachi Plasma TV. I can get to the channel manually through the keypad, but not through the favorite channel set up.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

hello there,

were you able to get this working in the last 2 years? i have an idea but it might render one of your numbers useless.

program the period code as a number 0-9. then use that number in place of the period. if this works, then it's confirms that the remote is unwilling to send out any code that is assigned as "." or "-".

in the "channel no." field, we need a way to enter more than just numbers, ".", and "-". maybe try underscore?

i am still looking for a solution.....
