First of all a big thank you for all the posters out here, it has been a wealth of information !

One living room consists of plasma TV and motorized screen covering the plasma. The motorized screen is operated through the relay ports of RFX9600 extender. Up or down takes about aprox 22 seconds ...

Choosing between looking TV or beamer thus would add 22 seconds in which operator has no control over remote (TSU9600) if no condition is set.

I was hoping to use a power sense as a conditional macro, but sadly enough Pep 2.0 will only let me add a IR or RS command and not a jump & execute action ...

I now have a workaround using a page with two buttons asking wether the screen is down or not, but would like to get rid of this.

Any input greatly appreciated :-)
Have a great day !
Frits

I have done something like that.

On the first page, the client chooses TV or Projector
Once projector selected, he only can go back home with powering off the projector.
So going to TV will not take so much time.
Powering off the room, without projector, also doesn't take so much time.

Hello Tom,
Thanks for your fast answer. I thought about a setup like that too, but client wants to be able to power down and leave the screen down too ...
Too bad PepV2 will not allow for a power sense condition on an executable action jump.
Guess I'll have to revert to an external screen controller or start learning prontoscript ...
Or does anyone have any ideas ?

FritsFloren,

It works a little better with some ProntoScript, but I use a separate Power page in similar situations.

On the Power page you can include whatever power commands you need. I usually include "Turn OFF Room" which will shut everything down, but I'll also include individual TV, screen, etc. power commands too. The user presses the Power button and is taken to a room appropriate page. Part of each individual power button macro is a "destination", usually the room's home page, but you can also "Browse Backward" to return to the calling page.

I'm not understanding why the Pronto would be tied up for 22 seconds after issuing a screen command. I don't see any need to wait for the screen. Obviously, the projector might cover the TV or allow the projector to splash on the wall while the screen is moving, but I don't see this as a major issue.

I think the relay must be active for 22 seconds
