I've just bought the 9600 remote. I've used three different pronto remotes before, so I'm familiar with pronto edit software.
But I've just started to program this device. I'm using PEP2 2.0.36.0
When i've just made a new page there is a lot of stuff in the system bar. I'm not able to clean up or to add "page tabs" there either. I've search in this forum. Looked at FAQ at prontos homepage, I've read the latest manual that is availible for download. I Can't even use the "Home Pages" that is availible in the graphic Gallery. I'm getting the icon that says that i can't drop the image into that page. But putting buttons there are no problem. It's probebly some easy way to do this

You have to delete these elements from the system page. Each element could be added separatly, where needed.

Thanks for your answer. That solved that issue :-). But leaves me to the next problem, why I can't just put up a new Status bar so I can add tabs? I've tried at both system page and Home page. With and without a background. I've also tried with the "reordering Item" function
Sorry for the noob questions

Why do you want to use tabs? There has not been a need for tabs since the days of the classic Pronto 2000. Tabs are a real pain to set up.

The alternatives to tabs are:
- the 5 firm keys at the bottom of the screen. You can use these as if they were 5 tabs.
- the page up/down button on the left side of the screen. This lets you have any number of pages for your device.

These should give you all the navigation that you should need.

No I think you missanderstanding my tab's . It is like the image on this site Where it says "LIST" And "INFO" [Link: pronto.philips.com]
The buttons already in PEP. But I van't get them to attached the system bar. I Always getting the icon that I can't place the button or whatever there

I prefer to have tabs on screen, so I and other people that uses the remote, knows what the alternatives pages are. The 5 buttons I have designated for other functions

You said you "can't drop the image into that page. But putting buttons there are no problem.".

That is your problem. The tab you are trying to place needs to be a button.

As I said previously tabs are very messy to set up. To do it you need a page for each tab, with each page showing the appropriate tab highlighted and the other tabs not highlighted. The other tabs are buttons, which when clicked go to the appropriate other highlighted page.

You cannot set this up on the system page - as it is just one page. You do it on normal pages. You can still do it at the top of the screen. Just leave the area where you want your tabs clear on the system page.
