A while back I had gotten the Panasonic ProntoScript module to work with a standalone Axis web server that I was using which worked perfectly. Now, I'm looking to be able to view and control my PTZ cameras (which the Panny script would do), but also want them hooked up a DVR box to record off them.
So, since a simple Axis server solution is now out of the question, which camera/DVR systems will allow me to control and view the cameras through the Pronto?
I am knowledgeable enough to write the module if I have the TCPIP communication docs, but should I be looking to communicate through the DVR or to all the individual cameras? I'm not familiar with how these systems communicate.
Any steer in the right the direction is appreciated, thank you!

If you have IP cameras, why don't you just use the camera module that will work 100%, with the individual cameras? Do these IP cameras also have an analog output that you are connecting to the DVR? Or are you planning on using analog cameras?

I was originally planning on using analog cameras that would only connect to the DVR, which was pretty limiting. Recently I found a Network Video Recorder that would allow for recording from IP cameras which would allow me to use the camera module (Since everything is connected through a switch).
I couldn't find any IP cameras that had analog outputs on them, but would definitely be another option for me.
