Where can I find information about showing a picture briefly for a moment every time I'm lifting the remote control?

Thanks in advance

Harry,

You don't get any sort of notification (even via ProntoScript) that the screen is activating. Something like you are requesting might be able to be done but it is NOT easy and might be plagued with timing problems.

Unfortunately, you did not provide enough information about your use case such that we (Barry and or me) could formulate in our minds whether or not we can see a way to make this happen.

Don't get your hopes up. Unless you can come back with additional info, I'd say scrap the idea because the implementation that Barry and I would use could easily break if the firmware was changed/updated by Philips in future revision.

That is, we rely on specific behavior of firmware "today" to detect certain things. This could change in the future. (A very technical discussion about when Javascript actually runs on the remote and how we detect when remote is actually asleep and is then waking up which involves use of scheduleAfter() and or repeating pages).

Barry,

Additional comments?

I could be interested in showing a picture ( of the family, sports club logo etc), location label or a yellow notice when activating the remote. Either just showing for a second or two or until I press home.
But from your answer it looks like a bit more cumbersome than I had hoped for.

Soon a new scipt is comming: This will work in combination with Flickr (http://www.flickr.com/) and Picasa (http://picasa.google.com.au/) like a Photoframe.

Yes, I saw that too.
But from what I understood it works out of the cradle.

The cradle has nothing to do with the function itself. This is only for permanent playing and for the right viewing position (placed like a picture frame).

I have got this script working (must have been some odd network issue) is there a way to Auto run the frame script when the pronto is docked on charge?

Prontopic is working with or without cradle.
With cradle it is also charging; otherwise the runtime would not be long.
This means permanent run is possible.

Auto run: not possible yet; extra or modified script for autorun needed.
one press : yes

Would it be possible to get the pronto to respond if the screen hasn't been touched? or would this require an internal clock?

You could start a timer/counter after each button press but this would use lot of memroy.....
