I have the DVDM300, and the 9600 works fine as far as playing music goes. Sometimes it has trouble communicating and getting a list of artists, but that may be due to the size of my music collections. Seems to work best with playlists. I don't think Movies are supported yet. I have a 400 Disc Sony DVD player attached.
Funny, the Escient site doesn't list the DVDM300.

Common Topic. With only 200 or so threads in this forum, it's easy to look through them or search for +Escient +DVDM.

The features for the DVDM-100 also apply to the 300 except that you'll probably get music you've loaded on the server. I use my DVDM-100 with Fireball PC and I've listed what some of the issue are in this thread.

Start here...

Item #3 in the 2nd post of this thread should be null and void (based on my supposition above) by having music on the server.
