Dear forum members,
I have 2 problem with a TSU9600, RFX9600 and a Teac Tascam DV-RA1000.

1. The drive manual states that the play command should be;
LF012CR
I send \n012\r and nothing happens.
The RFX9600 responds and lights up at the right port. I have checked that the cable is a nullmodem one, and just to be sure even tried a straight one. And no reaction. I have also tried to sent the command repeatedly for some time.
What have I missed ?

2. The same drive could by using 2-way communication over RS-232 answer the
"Mecha Status Return" like showing status, track number playing, current track time, and more.
Where could I find out more about how to handle the graphics for the return information? To constantly update time do I need to send the command request repeatedly from the remote control? Or is it normal that the remote just needs to "listen" for the updated answer?
I like to show a time bar and a tracknumber.
Could this be done without using Proto script?

Thanks in advance
Harry

I think i'm too late, but do you use a crossover cable or a straight, because although that a pronto-tascam cable has a male connector on one side and a female on the other, it the lines must be crossed (at least on the solid state recorders from Tascam).

Thanks Bluphenix,
I have already resolved the playback myself. The Swedish distributor refused answering question since I bought the CD i the States.
I will look into the Mechastatus during the holidays.

regards
Harry
