OK, bit of a noob, but I didn't think I was this bad!

I'm setting up a new TSU9400.... Used to own a RC9300 but it broke (thanks 6 year old). Either way,new model is an improvement!

I've had everything setup ok, but the VOL key does no work when held down on my amp, bit of a pain....

Amplifier is a Marantz SR9300

I've deciced to try and fix it today, but PEP2 (and version 1) is frustrating me.

I've created a brand new layout, and only added in the amp, nothing else.. In PEP2, I've used the wizard and only selected 'listen to radio', just to see if it works...

However, when I try and download to the remote, I get the following error:

Binary configuration file generation message log:

IR code 'Volume Up' removed from key action list (activity = 'System', key = 'VolumeUp')
IR code 'Volume Down' removed from key action list (activity = 'System', key = 'VolumeDown')
IR code 'Mute' removed from key action list (activity = 'System', key = 'Mute')

Number of Errors: 3.

I've searched the forum, but can't seem to find a fix to this. Is it a problem with the databases provided by PHilips, or just a PEP problem?

I've also tried to create the same thing in PEP1, to see if I can read in the codes for burst Vol +/-.... I'm able to download, but the amp is not recognising the buttons at all for vol/ mute...

Any help REALLY appreciated..

I'm going back to my old config, at least I can use the amp, all be it by pressing the VOL key multiple (and I mean multiple!) times...

Hi,

I could be wrong here so bear that in mind.........

the 3 errors are because you have different codes in your file and in the database.

V2 shows these as errors,

To resolve these errors you go into the data base, click on the issue and tell it which one to use,

then error gone.

It will still work with the error.

Its not really an error - thats the wrong word for them to use.....is the same button with 2 possible codes, so not even really a conflict............

I hope this is both right and of some help !!!

If others tell you im wrong go with them !!!!
In case it helps others help me : PEP v2.0.34.0 ,1 x TSU9600 v5.0.6, 3 x RFX9600 v1.1.36, 1 x RFX9400 v1.2.7

PS - Although I use PEP V2, I would still suggest people stick with V1.1 - That does seem to be easy to use as you can view many pages and v2 is limited to single page view.........

Each to his own............
