Hi,

In v2 with System, Settings2, Animation Mode - set to FULL

I have noticed that navigation from the "Home" page has no animation to the next page.

All other inter page jumps are animated - "animation" in this case seems to be a sweep from left to right, if you use the HOME hard key then the animation is right to left.

Is this a bug that is does not animate from the home page ?
OR is it my mistake in something?

Cheers,

Andy.

I guess you are one of the few using Animation. I personally NEVER use it.

Well im just trying things, I dont like it but its an option.

It also does not seem to scroll correctly to the right, going left is fine.

It appears to miss the top and bottom about 30 pixels, I checked I have set the scroll area to full window size.

As its a feature in a full release I would hope it works, even though I agree its a bit of a lame option!

It does not miss anything that you did not tell it to miss. ;)

That's what the 'User Area' tab on the System properties is for. To control the region that get's scrolled. Yes, I know. It's not documented that the 2 are connected but set the area from 0,0 to 640,480 and you'll see the whole screen scroll.

The idea behind not scrolling the whole screen is that users typically don't like to see things like date/time (system area) scroll.

Well it DOES miss the area I told it to include !!!

I had already worked out that the scroll area was related to this feature and set it (post 3 - scroll area to full window size)

0,0 639,479 - You CANT set 640,480 as you mention - So that should show that I have checked it. You may have meant 639,479 put that down to a typo..........I know what you meant.

That does not get away from the fact that navigation from my "Home" page does not animate to the linked pages, but ALL other linked pages animate, and the home button does reverse animate.

Just thought it worth a mention so the Beta testers could pick up on this and if an issue mention for the next release...............

I dont like the animation option but think it important that items offered should work...........

Im very new to Pronto so I do try and test everything first, I always think its ME that is wrong first , bt in this case is does currently seem that the issue is with pronto......

Anyway, moving on, I dont like it so its a mute point but thought it worth a mention to the beta testers to consider..........

I would prefer to see options for page transitions offered (windows movie maker style)
