I can't get the RFX9600 RS-232 ports to show up in the list of ports for the RFX when I'm configuring a device. They do show up under the Lutron (non-editable) device as selectable but not when I add a new device.

I'm sure it's simple, but what have I missed?

Have you added the RFX9600 to the config? Go to the syetem Properties.

Absolutely. It actually is working under the Lutron screen via the first RS-232 port so i know the ports are functional and the 9600 can in fact "command" them. But that is the only place I can get a 232 port to show up in a list is under the Lutron config.

I have it defined under the system and it is set up as an RFX9600. It shows up under any new device I add, but the only ports that show up in the list under that extender in that device is the 4 IR ports. I have upgraded the PEP and the 9600 firmware and that didn't change anything either. The RFX9600 is on the latest firmware already. It seems so crazy because it is working to control the Lutron via serial and it shows up there but no where else.

When you add an RS-232 action to an Action List, that is where you select the RS-232 port. You do NOT select it on the Device Properties page. IMHO, this is not the best design as you can't easily change all RS-232 Actions in one device to use a different port. You must edit each Action and change the port if needed.
