I have had my set up working beautifully for a few months and suddenly the RFX9400 stopped working. I tried to reboot the wireless modem, reprogram the router, upgrade the firmware, and reinstall the file to the 9600 and nothing happened. When I issue the command, the busy light blinks on the RFX9400, like it always has. It shows connected on the remote and it shows connected wirelessly on the RFX9400. I did not change any settings. I am perplexed. Any suggestions?

rjxmas,

Are you issuing IR commands? RS-232 commands?

Check the obvious: IR emitters that are not plugged-in. IR emitters that fell of the target unit. RS-232 cables that are disconnected. IR emitters gone bad. IR emitters plugg-in to the wrong RFX9600 port. If you are using IR, does the target respond to it's own remote?

Have you changed the room lighting?

Have you unplugged/cycled power from the RFX9400?

And with most digital camera's you can see if the IR lights up. Just send an IR signal into the lens and you will see the IR LED's light up in the display of the camera.

I guess I did not leave it unplugged long enough. Thanks so much Lyndel!
