I have a TSU9400 which is programmed and was running fine. Problem is that the range has dropped to only around 3 feet, originally was good at over 20 feet. Have installed new firmware, modified and re downloaded file to unit, any other ideas please?

Something is wrong (broken) did you check your network? Get a copy of net stumbler (free) and put it on a laptop or PC with a wifi card. Walk around with it. It will tell you average signal strength of each WAP and other things like interference.

gilbey666,

Have you changed anything in the room? Some light sources can confuse IR sensors. Have you moved something that is now casting a shadow on the IR sensors?

In a shaded house with no direct sunlight in the room, I had a situation where poor response tracked the sun. Something in the room was re-radiating afternoon daylight at a frequency that caused trouble for the IR receiver. If someone stood on a certain line, everything was fine. A sunlight filter cured the problem, but reduced the range somewhat.
