Can anyone tell me if it is possible to control the media center PC with my 9400? If the answer is yet, can someone just post really quick instructions to get me going in the right direction?

That was almost of waste of my time for searching and your time for posting. Here is what the help said:

Open the configuration file where you want to insert the special device.

Select the device under which you want to place the new device.

Right-click a device and select Insert Windows Media Center.
A new device is added to the configuration file below the selected device in the tree view.

Display the Properties.

On the Windows Media Center tab, insert an IP address or host name.

Close the Properties window.

I was hoping for a little more direction than that. Thanks anyway. If anyone has some experience setting this up, I would love to hear how they did it and some of the settings they used. When I tried setting it up, it always says "Connection Failed" Is there something I need to do on the Media Center PC?

I don't know if 9400 works the same way that 9600, if so, you will need to buy the software at:

http://pronto.hd-tec.com/

I have a TSU 9600 and i bought the software, it works fine with WMP (VISTA) but i had some problems with WMC (VISTA).

One solution that is due out for 9400 mid february and can be obtained via Barry Gordon.

check on www.the-gordons.net -> downloads -> the pronto slim client.

very good solutions. I have modified his 9600 solution to fit in the 9400 screen. works just fine.

check www.slimdevices.net for the server that needs to work alongside the itunes or WMP client to work.

Hope it helps.

Just for the record, I use the itunes solutions together with airport exptreme to stream music from the server to the HomeCinema. I use I tunes to play a "stream" that come from the slim server and I use the pronto to control what is being streamed. The music then is sent from the server to the Home cinema via airport express. The result is very decent. airport express is connected to AV Receiver via optical cable and the streaming quality is very good. I understand that I stream music twice (from slim server -> itunes -> airport express) but the result is very decent)

Hope it helps

That is awesome . I have a slimserver and the squeezebox that I currently use to stream music to my stereo. It would be better to see the stuff on the pronto9400.

Would you mind sending me your 9400 version of the slimserver for the 9400?

As you probably know, the .xsf file includes the code... And as Barry Gordon requested I can't send it. Ask Barry to send it.

The Layout I have made is nothing really... just moved and resized the components to fit the 9400 screen. One tip here. donwload and use the 9600 editor so you can see the whole screen. move things around (to the upper left side of the screen) , save the file, close the editor and open the file with the 9400 editor. then use the 9400 editor to move the things and resize them accordingly

I havn't spent much time on the layout as in 15 days the final 9400 version will be released and will support rotary control...

sorry if I wasn't much of help
