A quick TSU-9600 question (just unpacked it).

I've setup the WiFi for the default configuration using ProntoEdit Pro and the control panel connected to my home wireless network with no problems. I've gone through the manuals but I don't see any reference on how to now get the control panel to see/control an MCE PC on my wired LAN so I can see my music. Appreciate any help.

You must program the whole thing from scratch using Pronto Script (Java script) What the Pronto supplies is TCPIP socket architecture, the basic tool. The rest is up to you.

MCE is supported out of the box with ProntoEdit Pro - though I have not researched what functionality you get.

This is along with Escient Media Server, Imerge Sound Server and Lutron Lighting.

These are the instructions from help (search for Multimedia Center PC):

Add a Windows Media Center

Open the configuration file where you want to insert the special device.

Select the device under which you want to place the new device.

Click in the toolbar
-Or-
Right-click a device and select Insert Windows Media Center.
A new device is added to the configuration file below the selected device in the tree view.
You recognize the PC device by

Display the Properties.

On the Windows Media Center tab, insert an IP address or host name.

Close the Properties window.

Adding MCE device does not seem to be sufficient. If you want to browse your music library, you need to add Padone configuration file:

It is not free....

Peter, I am aware of the integration of the Pronto with MCE "out of the box" but as I have said before I am not expert in that, in fact I know just about nothing about it. My "Pronto PRO" expertise, or that which passes for it, is limited to TCPIP on the Pronto and I do try to make that known. Thanks for covering me.

I too have been having a tough time getting my Pronto (TSU9400) to work with Vista Utlimate. I read in a few places where people were able to get PadOne to work with either the MCE interface while others where able to get it to work with Windows Media Player. People seem to report that is flaky either way, but for me ............. well ......... absolutely nothing one way or the other. I figured I was just missing something and not had the time to research it enough yet. That and I have been diving into the whole ProntoScript world to figure it out myself. Either way I too welcome anyone's input or suggestions. It nice not to have to reinvent the wheel if someone knows of a better way. Thanks
