hi Guys,

I'm having a load of building work being done at my house - and I am wondering what parts I need to control the lights etc? So - some questions

I am going to pickup a TSU9600 since it looks like its the best of breed.

a) I assume this can control lights etc?
b) Which units integrate best with this?
c) Is there a list of stuff which can be controlled via it EASILY
d) What else do I need with the unit to control my Primare / HD DVD / Media Centre Setup?
e) What else do I need to control lights?

The reason for c) is I suspect that you can get X10 - but it might be a PITA to do it - and other brands/units might be better?

So - I want to buy some - try them out on your recommendations and trial them before the building work starts?

help?

Cheers

I have recently purchased a TSU9600. I am still trying to solve the problem of programming it since I can not find any installer within my area to do it for me. Had one over today for just over 4 hours took the remote back to their shop and discuss with the boss. The owner of the company called to say they can not do it. So here I am, trying to learn how to do it myself. According to everything I read, I have purchased the Lutron RadioRA switches, the RFX9600 (I rather do the hard wiring) this extender talks to the TSU9600 and the RA-RS232, this talks to the Lutron RadioRA switches, to operate my lighting. The TSU9600 is compatable with the Lutron and from what we read is pre-programed. It makes it sound as if this will be the easiest part of the entire programming. I'll let you know.
Hope this helps.

Pronto68,

After still trying to program this remote, I might try that.
Is that Only one remote?
How was your expierence with it?
I am so new to this all I could get so far to work is my Sony KDS60A2020 to work so far. I tried to create my own config pages, but it would lock up the remote with connecting. So I'm trying to use their(Phillips) basic US config.

If I could ask how many devices did you have them set up? I have 8 devices and from what I see on their web page it will cost WELL over $300.00 to do. At this point, I don't think I care.

Help....

Thank you,
Sheri

On the systems page in tree view, right click and select Properties. On the Properties dialog, click the Network or WiFi tab and disable 'Network' mode to get rid of the 'Connecting' message.
