Hey guys! I apologize in advance if this is not the correct place to ask this but I am having some trouble here.

I cannot for the life of me get the Sony remote to turn on/off the Optoma HD26. There seems to be no 3 digit code in the 5xx range that is associated with Optoma that I have been able to find.

In my quest to find this magic number I read that projectors can't just shut straight down as they need to run the fan to cool the bulb but this doesn't make much sense to me -- surely the IR code the remote passes is just a command and the actual shut down process is controlled by the projector's firmware? There is are discrete On and Off buttons on the Optoma remote so maybe it's sending a different signal?

In turning the projector off you have to press Off twice but some simple logic in the firmware should be able to handle any potential issues in regards to that (if device is off then power button turns the device on, if on treat the power button as off and timeout if you've waited x seconds).

I don't know why there doesn't seem to be a code for these projectors but if anyone knows of one please share, I'm about to rip my hair out!

Thanks!

Do you know the remote part number by chance?
