Can't handle Zone 2 with 994 commands. You'll need a JP1 flash cable (make sure that it is FTDI based) to be able to send those IR signals.

That's a bummer. I was thinking I could program the DVD function button for the zone 2 amp with the efc code that the onkyo remote uses. I don't mind using a separate remote for the DVD player since I don't use it very often. Guess that's not an option? Thx. Brad

Is using a cable that big of a deal? They're only $5-$8 on ebay. It's a heck of a lot easier than punching in codes. On the other hand, a learning remote is only about $13. Lots of cheap options.

Using a cable is certainly not out of the question, might actually be kind of fun if that is my only option. Not sure if you guys would be up to coaching another rookie through that whole process though. Just thought maybe I could push a few buttons and be done. I'll do whatever you guys suggest! thx, Brad

The JP1 site already has complete upgrades for Zone 2, so you really just need to visit over there to make sure you buy the correct cable. Or, if the OEM remote has every function you need, you could use a learning remote. I like JP1 myself.

Okay, I received my cable in the mail today, and as I mentioned in my original post. I am an Idiot! I found what is called a link to download RemoteMaster.v2.03Alpha28.zip but I can't even figure out how to download it!! I searched SourceForge and all I see is v2.02a Sorry for being such a pain.
Thx, Brad
