I have a 36 inch Sharp TV manufactured in 2001. It has a remote control that came with the TV and it works fine.
When DirecTV tried to input the codes for the DirecTV remote to work, the technician could not find any codes that would work. I phoned SharpUSA and was told that this model TV did not have any remote control codes. I asked him to double-check and he checked with a technician who said that my Sharp TV did not have a remote control code, which I don't understand.
I want the TV to work with the DirecTV remote or Dish Network remote. Can someone provide a solution that might work.
Thanks FloridaRay

It could just be that your model of TV doesn't have the code, in which case a learning remote might be the best solution. We could, however, do a double check, but we'll need the model number of TV for that.
