gday all , i recently got an ipaq 2210 and would like to increase its ir range and strength.i find the beam is rather directional and would like to get around this , "literally". also is there software out there that is better than nevo,and if so where do i get it.i would like to customize further but found the nevo web site pretty basic.all this touch screen learning remote stuff is new to me , my apologies if the questions are a bit lame.

Some iPAQs IR support is not as good as others, some software will work some will not with the 2210, cant remember which. I know 1940's had problems with IR, cant remember if the 2210 was in the same cat. as that or not.
PDA remote software, a few options, read threads on this forum, and make a choice, TR seems the best bet at the moment. PDAWin TVR was the one to go for 6 months ago, but Don Stratton from Griffin Total Remote is doing all he can to get their product TR working to a spec that we all hope for. ANyway check out all the threads on this group.
