Question.
Can the Marantz handle Pronto Pro CCF colour files
and transfer them to the Axim ? I only ask as
I know that a standard Pronto can do this and
there is no Marantz equivalent to a Pronto Pro
out there.
There is an equivalent to the Pro, it's called an RC-9200. If you use the latest version of the Marantz software, TouchScreenSetup v 2.0.4, you should be able to convert a Pro ccf and then be able to download it to a 5000 PROVIDED it's not too big for the memory.
Question.
What kind of software do I need to build CCF's
for the Marantz and where can I download it from
? Will Prontoedit work for the Marantz or do
I need a different kind to handle colour files
As above, use TSS v 2.0.4 to program any Marantz (or Tonto, by Stewart Allen). TSS is in the files area of this site. Pronto Edit WILL NOT work for a Marantz.
However, your real problem may be pdaWIN. I don't believe that a ccf created with the Marantz software is supported, but I don't know for sure. You could use your Marantz to TEACH codes to the Axim.
If I'm right, and pdaWin doesn't support Marantz created ccfs, you'll need to use both Pronto Edit, and TSS. TSS for the Marantz, and PE for the Axim. Additionally, for the Axim you'll want color, and the Marantz will only do 4 color greyscale which will mean maintaining two versions of your ccf.
Your Marantz also has some additional programming possibilities which a Pronto does not. Multiple jumps in an action list, and a back function among others. These could be used on your Marantz, but not in PE, hence not in your Axim.
