I have been using a Palm as a URC for almost 2 years
and think it's great mainly because I also use a remote control extender that attaches directly to the PALM.
This type of device gives me whole house control with having to aim the PALM at the equipment I am controling.
I paid $50 for this device.
There is a dutch auction on E-BAY that ends today for a remote extender system which you could possibly purchase for $25.
I am NOT the seller,I just think this is a must for anybody that wants to use a PDA as a remote control.
