So at the moment I have a Pronto controlling my AV and X10 equipnent. Only thing I use my iphone for is the Apple tv via remote.
I'm trying to work out if I can replace the Pronto with my iphone and redeye.
90% of the work by the Pronto does is RF based to the RF>IR basestation and then to the amp/sky/dvd/IR>X10 convertor
the other 10% is IR based for the volume on my bedroom tv and changing the AV input on my plasma tv.
As far as I can work out, using the redeye i can do the RF based bit as the redeye basestation can just take the place of the pronto RF>IR basestation.
The redeye mini can then do the small number of IR tasks I need.
Have I worked this out right?
I know I won't have the customising options of the pronto, but I will get the 2 way communication from the apple tv
Thoughts?

Your plan with the RedEye WiFi plus the RedEye Mini will work and with every release of the APP the RedEye is getting more and more powerful and customizable.
One thing I do have to caution you about is regarding your plan for 2-way support with the Apple TV. I just want to make sure you realize that will be navigating from one APP to another for that. The Apple Remote App will let you change and select your music or movies on the Apple TV but you will have to go to the RedEye App to control the volume on your receiver, inputs, etc. It's not a big deal as the Apps switch pretty quickly... I'm actually doing it on an iPod touch in my own home.

MrFluffy, how has your RedEye solution worked out? I have a similar setup and would like any advice?
Where do you place your RedEye relative to your IR/X10 receiver?
