Let me begin by saying that I'm not sure where my problem lies, so I've posted this topic in the in the URC section here, over at htpcnews, girder forums, and irTrans.

The basic problem is that since I programmed my MX-700 with some random ir codes of devices that I'll never use to and taught them to the IRtrans module on my computer, and linked them to various apps using girder- the IRmodule periodically stops responding to IR commands.

I fix the problem by restarting the IRtrans module and girder, or sometimes just girder.

I haven't found it to be related to a specific button, but its possible. I've mostly been using Sage where the remote is used extensively, and plan to try relearning a new set of ircodes to eliminate this as a possibility.

Clearly this problem points to the IRtrans module, but since there are so many variables, I wanted to see if I can eliminate a few potential causes of such a problem by posting at various sites.

Could the MX-700 be sending a signal so strong that it would overload the IRtrans module in my HTPC?

I'll be spending some time trying to determine where the problem is coming from, but in the meantime if anyone has any suggestions or comments it would be helpful.

Thanks
