Tricking Out Rob Dyrdek's MTV Fantasy Factory
By Jason Knott

Every week, millions of MTV viewers get to see BCG Concepts’ work on Rob Dyrdek’s “Fantasy Factory” show. Bryan Gorog of BCG says he got the initial job in 2009 simply because of his location in downtown Los Angeles.

“When I moved to this address we actually started receiving a ton of business just based on our zip code downtown,” he admits. “We did the theater job and have been hired back for all the A/V items since. The first time we worked at the Fantasy Factory was in June of 2009. We actually received a call from one of his assistants as they were searching for an A/V company to do a theater installation for their lounge.”

Since then, BCG has done the conference room, office and lobby. Now in its fourth season, Fantasy Factory follows the antics of former pro skateboarder Dyrdek as he does insane stunts, like getting mauled by a tiger. Much of the program is shot in his downtown warehouse, which has an office that showcases BCG’s work, including four 60-inch Samsung displays.

“It started as a real low-budget project. They had a 160-inch screen and projector that they needed set up and they needed an audio system with it. We put in a KEF iQ system. It worked really well and sounded fantastic,” he notes.
