iPod sanitizers, flying drones, and 3D TVs gave a glimpse upcoming products.This year’s CEA Line Show in New York City just might have offered a glimpse of what will be the hot consumer electronics gifts this holiday season.
The array of products could best be described as a cornucopia of funkiness: everything from an iPod sanitizer to a “flying drone” toy to high-end 3D TVs, whole-house control touchpanels and power management systems were on display for members of the press to check out.
Here’s a snapshot of some of the products that just might be super hot come this fall. Some of them are suitable as add-ons or even giveaways for clients to help seal the deal. Others - as in the case of the 3D TVs - could be staples of your future sales.
Parrot’s Flying AR.Drone QuadricopterParrot’s flying AR.Drone quadricopter was cruising the aisles at the show, hovering about 5 feet off the ground using four separate propellers. The $299 unit brought the kid out in everyone who it passed, with people scrambling to control it using an iPhone. By simply tilting the iPhone forward, left or right, you control the unit.
Crestron TPMC V-Panels with Integrated FlashCrestron systems have always been a bit flashy in terms of their ability to control a home through an attractive interface. But the company’s new TPMC V-Panels with integrated Adobe Flash literally add more “flash” to the user interface.
