But we can't argue with quantity, and Apple says the iPad will come out of the gate with 150,000 apps. That's great, but they aren't exactly new apps. They are the ones you've come to know, love and curse from the current iPhone store. Yes, all of those apps will work on the iPad. We love the whole backwards-compatibility thing, but let's face it: They aren't really designed for the iPad.
The iPhone has already changed the way the world looks at technology, home automation and instant gratification. With 150,000 possibilities out there, though, it's sort of hard to get lost in the mix. What current apps will make the iPad a must-have for you?
Here are 10 that we're hoping to see get that special iPad treatment.
SlingPlayer MobileTaking your channel lineup and the contents of your DVR anywhere around the world is very cool. Having it be slightly pixelated is not. Once this awesome app gets blown up on the bigger iPad screen, we’re guessing it won’t look as pretty. Leave fuzzy TV images for web watchers.
iRa ProSince Apple pulled the plug on I Am Rich, this might be one of the more expensive apps out there. However, it offers a lot more than just bragging rights. For $900, this little app puts the power of multiple IP-based cameras into your tiny hand. We’re talking up to hundreds of them.
