is there a way to convert something on the following format: 0x009C
to DISCREET HEX /something that looks like: 0000 006d 0000 0022 00ac 00ac 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0689
whats the first format called? are both of them HEXADECIMAL? why do they look different, sorry but i researched it and i cannot figure it out

0x009C is the hexadecimal representation of the decimal nnumber 156 (9*16 +12). It does not contain enough information to describe a IR signal. The second representation is usually called Pronto Hex, and it is well understood.
If you have additional information beyond 0x009C, post it here, and we may be able to convert it.

well i don't know if im misunderstanding this... let me give u a scenario i went to the LIRC site and for i got this CONFIG file

KEY_OK 0x70028 KEY_RIGHT 0x7004f KEY_LEFT 0x70050 KEY_UP 0x70052 KEY_DOWN 0x70051
### Standard generic desktop report, type 3 KEY_POWER 0x10001
============= that's just a portion... so what i need is the "PRONTO HEX" (thanks for the name) of those Hex numbers right?... i read that you can convert them... any idea? or am i looking at this the wrong way?
