I am trying to get an Amino 7XM cable box programmed into the MX4000. The code set is missing a number of commands so I will have to learn them. When I go into learn mode in CCP, the learn dialog says the status is Learn ready, but it never learns the code from the Amino remote and eventually times out.
I grabbed an MX-850 and tried to learn some commands from that and still no luck.
Has anyone tried learning in the MX4000 editor?
Thanks

How close is the emitting remote is from the MX-4000? The guide specifies 1-3 inches for learning distance.

I just tried and it worked, but it's a bit clumsy to set up because you need to aim that close to the front with the connecting cable in place.

Some of these new cable boxes are Bluetooth remote only. Don’t know about yours. You could try your phone camera to see if you can see IR being emitted, first with working codes from the 4000 for test, than the Amino (?) remote.

Tom,
Thanks. It was just the MX4000 needing the other remote much closer to do the learn than I was used to with previous URC remotes.
