I have tried all items listed for DIRECTV and none of them work.

The URC Directv library is a mess, most are for Directivos and not for the current Directv receivers. Just use code 173.

Code set 173 under the Satellite database, has been in the software for decades! It is literally impossible that you don't have it, unless severe corruption of the software has happened.

1) What DirecTV receiver are you trying to control? Model # is a must if you want help.
2) How are you trying to control it? Direct IR from remote? Thru a base station?

I have HR44-700, I have mx-990 and mrf-350 base.
I was looking under Directv codes and will look under satellites. I am setting up a Denon AV receiver, Directv, Zapiti,, Roku, Shield TV, epson projector and a Sony LCD TV.

Yes, code 173 will control that DirecTV receiver. If you click on the name HR-44 in the database, you can see it is using code 237. That should work as well.

Standard practice is to load the codes, and test them using the remote only pointed at the front of the receiver first. Once you know the codes work, then have the codes go thru the RF to the base station. This will save you a lot of troubleshooting time.
When you get to the RF part, you have to place the IR emmiter on the front of that model DirecTV receiver very carefully. It is very fickle with placement. 1/4" to one side could mean the difference between it working or not.

I have the Directv, Denon and Sony TV working with IR fine.
I switched to RF but nothing is working, the mrf-350 is set to channel 8 and the software is set to 8. I have tried channel 1 also but no RF is working. I do see the red light blinking on the RF receiver so I think there is some interference I am getting. I do not see any blinking on the blaster at all??

OK, so we now know it is an issue with the base station. Lets again go thru some basics.

1) The MRF-350 has 2 parts. The base unit (MRF-350) and the antenna module (RFX-250). Both can be sold in the "i" version (MRF-350i & RFX-250i). Do both your antenna module and base station match - meaning are both "i" or both non-"i" versions.
Continuing the above, is your MX-990 an "i" version or non-"i" version?
All 3 pieces have to match in order for the RF to work. Just need to make sure either none of the pieces have an "i" at the end of the model number. Or all 3 do have the "i"

2) How are you connecting the MRF-350 and RFX-250 together? With the supplied mini-jack or a 3 conductor wire?

3) There is a power light on the MRF-350 and a power light on the RFX-250. Are both on solid.
There is an RF light on the RFX-250. Is that what's blinking you mentioned? There is also a Status light on the MRF-350 (indicates the same thing as the RF light on the FRX-250) - is it also blinking?

You don't have to purchase a mrf-350i complete set up, all you need is the rfx-250i antenna:

[Link: ebay.com]

You can have both rfx250 & rfx250i both connected to the same mrf-350, and control both frequency remotes.

I never see the "i" versions of URC stuff, totally forgot the RFX-250i antenna is all that is needed to go from the 418MHz to the 433MHz.
