I'm trying to use a generic media PC remote control/IR to USB setup.
The IR command set is Chinavision CVSB-983, which doesn't seem to exist in URC database.
So, I've used the remote that came with it to teach the commands. The problem is, I cannot get URC remote to repeat key presses while the button is pressed. The checkbox for repeating key presses is checked but it sends one signal and stops. The original remote keeps sending it as long as it's pressed.
Is there any kind of limitation for repeating key presses for learned commands? Or does it have anything to do with the IR command itself? Anybody knows a workaround? Or perhaps an existing database command set I can use? I've tried every microsoft aux set and none of those worked.

I've figured it out, in case anybody is having this problem. The remote just didn't learn original commands properly. So they worked but didn't repeat. Took quite a few tries but they finally learned correctly and everything is working fine now.

I have also had problems getting the remote (MX-5000 in my case) to properly learn IR commands. I'm surprised this process isn't more trouble free. The device doesn't seem to have a problem understanding the signal, so the MX-5000 should too.
Maybe I'm holding them too close to each other.
