Hi, I have an MX880. The only thing that I can't get setup right now is this:

I am on a device, like bluray. I press Watch and this brings up my other devices. Can I press Watch again and go back to the last device screen I was on, in this case bluray?

If so how do I do this.

Right now when I press Watch, I will again press bluray even though my system is already powered to that device. I rather the remote not go through all the macros again. I just want to hit Watch again and go back to the previous screen.

Thanks

You would have to setup a Press and Hold macro on the Bluray button. This creates two functions for the same button. Your "before" macro would be your full macro that turns devices on and sets inputs, and of course your jump to. The "after" macro would simply be a jump to your Bluray page 1. You can set the time you hold the button before it fires the after macro function between 1 and 5 seconds.

Or just use a variable.

Ah ok, I see a push and hold option now. If anyone knows a better way let me know. I will use this option for now. Thanks!

How would I use a variable in this case.

If BluRay On = True
Jump to BluRay Page

If BluRay On = False
Turn on TV
Turn On BluRay
Delay ..... sec
Jump to BluRay Page
Set Blu Ray On to True.

Thanks guys, the presshold option works good. I will try out the variable when I have more time this weekend. I spend several hours setting up the remote, which is working good. The variable will be fun to try out later.

Original Poster wanted to have an inteligent Watch button. CCP doesnt allow the MX880 watch button itself to hold a macro, but the device buttons can.

When looking at the abilty to assign a macro to an MX880, I also see that we can't do conditional statements either.

I'd like to implement something similar to this on my MX880, but can't find a method to create conditional macros. Some more specific directions from a member here would be greatly appreciated...

I haven't done MX-880 yet, but on MX-980 I have back button and that's what I use to get me back to my DVD page after I adjust my Lights (on a separate page).

There is a round about way to do conditional statements with an 880.

I'll post how when I have more time, but basically you have to nest several variables on one button to achieve what you want.
