I have two MX-850 remotes that I purchased a couple years ago that I update using the MX-850 Editor with no problem. I just ordered a third brand new MX-850 which won't communicate with the same MX-850 Editor on the same PC using the same cable and COM port due to the following error:
Error detected while communicating with your Remote Control. Error code: 110-67UU-0004 Either the com port setting is incorrect (Communications Menu) or the cable is defective.
The two older MX-850's upload and download fine but the new one won't communicate at all. Do you think the new MX-850 is defective and should be returned or is there some other problem or solution that I might not be aware of?
Thanks for any help.

You need to go to Help->Live Update to get the software to work on the new models. Look out though, it might make the older models fail. I'd try to have to installs until your sure the new version will work with both. I can't get the current version to communicate with an older model.

Thanks for the suggestion, but there is no Help -> Live Update menu on my MX-850 Editor. Under Help, there is only Go to website, Firmware Version, and About. Firmware Version just gives me the same Communications error.
