I would appreciate some help, please. Like so many people, I originally purchased my URC MX-850 remote control over the Internet, from Buy.com. I innocently purchased the MX-850 not knowing that Buy.com is not an authorized retailer. So naturally I was also affected by URC’s decision to limit their software availability, and more specifically remove the "live update" feature from the MX-Editor software.
I really need a copy of the software with the live update feature as I am looking for IR codes that are not in the general availability release version of the URC MX-Editor software. I am looking for some specific codes for the LG-LRM519 DVR and Samsung HLS6187WX DLP TV.
I would greatly appreciate it if someone whom has the “live update” version of the MX-850 software would contact me directly, please. I am willing to purchase or pay for the software, if needed.
Any help will greatly be appreciated, please.
You may contact me directly via email – the email address in my profile is correct.
Thank you,
Cameron

Even without live update, you have the Universal Browser within the MX-850 software. So you can drag signals from CCF files. I think you'll find it easier to find a compatible CCF file for each of those devices than to get the software with live update (and even with live update, I doubt much new is supported, so you might still need to find a CCF file).

Please see the thread at the top of the thread list entitled "Getting Software for Your Remote" This thread should have never been posted, all software inquireies must go through the above mentioned thread.

Correct, and if you want to argue anything, go to the monster thread in the other URC forum.

You should contact a registered programmer/ installer to program the remote for you. That is what we do.
