I don't believe it is in Alpha testing yet. They made a prototype, but that's the last I heard. It is supposedly in the works, but no word on when we'll see them.

Thank you,
Damon DG

There will be another prototype at CES, along with the MSC-500 it's designed to work with. Still a way to go before release.

What would MSC-500 add to MSC-400? I'm curious if it would have IR triggered routing on its ports. i.e a IR command that comes from a particular device always goes out to a designated port. Excuse my ignorance if the MSC-400 already does this - my understanding is that a signal sent to the IR input is simply made available to all output ports on the MSC-400.

The MSC-500 adds 2-way communication with the MX-3500. Any other differences I don't know about.
When ignorance is bliss, ‘tis folly to be wise.

The MSC-500 will also work with the new wall-mounted controls that will be released at the same time.

Two way communication and wall mount compatibility are fantastic features - a media player, Satellite radio etc could use that feedback very nicely!

Does anyone have an answer to my original IR routing question? i.e Is it possible to route an incoming IR signal on the MSC-400 to one or more specific output ports?
