Several major problems: I lost my driver and cable to connect my remote to my Mac.

I read that you need to install some sort of Virtual PC software however I am having difficulty. I will never use the Mac again so I require a free Virtual PC program . Can anyone give me a brief overview regarding how I can get started?

Thanks!

You need an intel based mac. You need at least Boot camp in stalled in the Mac OS and then you will need a copy of Windows installed in that partition. YOu can also use parrallels or VMWare fusion with Boot Camp or by itself.

Bottom line there is no free way to do this. You will have to at least have a full license version of Windows. BTW, once you do get this setup it works very well but it is not for the faint of heart to attempt.

And, unless it's a very old MX3000, you can use a standard mini-USB to USB (like a camera cable).
