I'd like to use the MX-450 as a poor man's sleep timer on some older equipment I have in the bedroom. I have a macro that simply cascades a bunch of 60 second pauses, then turns off the equipment. Only snag is that the LCD stays on for the duration of the macro, which will clearly run out my batteries. Is there any way to turn off the LCD while a macro runs?
Thanks! Dave Smith

Take the batteries out?
Don't think so, although it will shut the lcd off with a 30second continous button press (deemed the "stuck in the couch" battery saver).

Thanks for the reply. I like the battery idea... now is there a discrete code to put the batteries back in?
You were close with the "couch" scenario... I'd be willing to hold a button for 30 seconds. it would be a sick hack, but no worse than the rest of the macro. Only snag is that the macro is terminated after 30 seconds as well.
Oh well, guess I'll just have to put the batteries in the charger more often.
Thanks again. Dave
