I like power state tracking because it allows me to bypass power on delays for frequent device switching.
In general, I would say the the more tech savvy people whom I have done remotes for have been happy with power state tracking while the less tech savvy folks have become confused by it. I find this interesting because it seems like it should be the other way around.
It would work the other way around if variable-based state tracking were infallible. But that only happens with 2-way feedback, at which point there's little reason to use power state tracking OTHER than your preferred application of sidestepping delays when they're not needed.
