Hi,

I am programming a Cablevision 8300HD box with a MX-850. I have a program from another client which has a 8300hd in it as well. I do not have the original remote for hte 8300 & I am missing hte "DVR" button.

In Program #1 I exported the "Cable" which has all the items preprogrammed.

In program #2, I would like to import "DVR.mxd" from program 1 into program #2. Ideally I would like to overwrite the "cable" tab that is already setup with all this information.

I right click on MX-850, choose Import, choose dvr.mxd, I choose an open box, then hit the > arrow to add the cable device.

Then a "Device assign" window pops up however, no matter what i choose, it will not let me press the OK button.

I have two devices I would like to overwrite as I setup the information already for another client.

Thanks,
Rich

You have to first click on an item in the top box and then select a device from the drop down box. Once you do this for each item in the top box the OK button should start working.

Im not sure why that doesnt work.  I tried every combo but it will not work.  Theres no way to click "OK".

Any other suggestions?  It would seem that once I click the box where I want to put the imported device (in this case a cable box), I should goto device assign & choose "cable" and assign it to "cable 043".

I looked at the PDF manual but I dont see anything related to this particular import issue.

I think you need to re-read dalto's message.

Under the "Used External Devices" box at the top, you must select every item listed there and assign it to a specific device - any device in your config will do - using the "Assign Device To" pull-down at the bottom.

Only after you do this will the "OK" button become available. And yes, it's kind of an odd behavior...
