I recently purchased the mx850 and mrf250. I installed the mx850 Editor and set up a profile. Everything seems to work except that When some devices are set for rf and assigned to specific flashers the output functions on all flashers inspite of being set to a specific. Version of editor is 1.12.273 and by the way I tried a different receiver with the same results. I have two Directv HR20-700s and have them set for RF because I can't find two codes for the hr20. Would appreciate any assistance.

You need to change the ID # from 0 to anything else. The ID number on the MRF unit is on the bottom of the unit. Than in the program make sure you set which ID you are using. The unit comes as a default 0 which wont allow you to do IR routing

Thanks. It now works. Would've been nice to mention that in the manual :)

Glad it worked for you.
0 is the default. If you start to have problems in the system like commands are not always working. Set the MRF back to 0 and take a look at the status light or the LED on the front of the MRF unit. If it is flashing it means that there is interferance in the system. That is something else I don't think they tell you in the manual.

Hello all
What would cause interferance, and how do you resolve it? My MRF staus lights flicker every once in awhile and my mx3000 wont respond when they are freaking out.

Many things can cause interference. Some of the common things are leaving the antenna in the cabinet with the system. Weather stations that are on the same frequency, I've had a client that lived down the street from a radio station and they changed something on there tower and all of the MRF's were lit up like a xmas tree. It is very hard to say what causes interference. If you are having problems i would say to start with the antenna. Is it located in the stereo cabinet. It has been said that the Cable boxes and satellite boxes can cause problems. when does it happen? Do you live in a metropolitan area? Try the process of elimination. If you are using a MRF250 URC says to remove the antenna if it is really bad. Its very hard to determine what cause interference because it can be a number of thing.
