Can anyone tell me if an mx700 .mdx file can be opened for editing and modification? What is the difference between a Directv RC34 code in "DTV Mode" and the same code in "AVI code 00003 mode"? I'm trying to convert the discrete Power on/off codes from the "DTV Mode" so I can incorporate them into the learned "AVI code 00003 mode". Would appreciate any assistance. Thanks

Under the device tree of the MX700 editor, choose a device (Sat, in this case) and right click and choose Import Device. Then browse to the MXD file and open it. Choose the device under 'Available Devices' and then choose a destination under Main page 1 or 2 (again, Sat). Choose the > arrow and then hit save. The MXD file will now be imported into your remote under the Sat device.

To my knowledge, no one has reverse engineered these files. I have looked at them enough to know that the learned codes appear to use the same format as the mx-500s, which was fairly well documented by the now defunct irclone folks. That's really as far as I went though.
