Hi, I bought an MSC-400 from a retailer. I'd like to be able to program it along with my MX-3000. Unfortunately I can't find the software -- can anyone help me out? I managed to find an old version of the MX-3000 software thanks to Eric's post above. While I'm not thrilled that this software doesn't update, I can live with it. I can't live without any ability to edit the MSC-400, however, as the whole purpose of my buying these two devices is to setup "fool proof" commands using voltage and video sensing.

Can anyone help out?

If Nadime would have bought it by an authorized dealer this would never have happened.

That pretty well sums it up.

Sorry, you get what you pay for.

I'm sure you will be able to find a bootleg version at some point in time.

Did you in fact ask the dealer you purchased from to give you the software?

I'm tired, tired, tired of this. An MSC-400 is a reasonably sophisticated device and someone is unwilling to buy from a ci or dealer who will either program it for them, or supply the software for them to do it themselves, all for saving a buck or two, which is false economy.

These are the people who I can't blame the ci's for not wanting to help in the forums.

$799 USD list and you haven't determined that you will receive the appropriate software?

There really is no reason for anyone who buys new equipment not to have the proper software to go with it, unless they are looking to get away on the cheap.

I was going to stay away from the whole subject, but apparently I had to throw these comments in here.

Maybe the retailer that you bought it from? Thats where I would start.

Maybe he DID buy from an authorized dealer and wasn't offered the software. I shouldn't have been quite so much on the offensive. I apologize.

I hope he tells us where he got the 400, and if/when he gets the software.

Yes, let everyone know whom you bought your product from if they do not know how to get you the software. Maybe if people thought about getting product through the proper channels this could be avoided.
