Hi,

New to URC products. Working on an MX-950. Running WinXP Pro w/ SP2.

Have tried ActiveSync 3.7, 3.8, 4.5. When I plug in the USB cable ActiveSync connects and then I can download/upload from within the editor just fine. However if I leave the remote connected after a few minutes ActiveSync disconnects or perhaps something else is forcing a disconnect. In any case, the ActiveSync tray icon goes from green to gray and now, of course, download/uploading will not work. If I unplug and replug the USB cable ActiveSync reconnects and everything is again fine for a few more minutes. I cannot reconnect without the unplug/replug process.

In the past working with Prontos and Harmonys I have had no problems with USB connections but they did not rely on ActiveSync.

Any ideas?

Thanks, Frederick C. Wilt

I've had excellent results with ver 3.7.1

Under options/sync mode, make sure that "continuously while device is connected" is chosen.

Under options/rules, make sure that "leave the item unresolved" is chosen.

I had that problem until I moved from 3.7 to 4.5 beta. Since then, everything is great.

My options are set as tweeterguy has mentioned.

Thanks for the feedback.

So I want to set up a partnership with the 950 rather then treat it as a guest?

I had a simlar problem with my MX-3000, which I just got about a week ago... Turns out that it is the wire that came with the remote.... Got a new wire and it works fine....
