I posted this in the URC forum but was suggested might be worth posting here too.

I'm using a MX-980 and have been unable to program to a Samsung BD-P1500 using the codes in the pre-programmed libuary (BD-P1500 - BN59-00070D) or via learning from the remote .....basically after configuring many funtions do not operate the device.

I had been using the BD-P1400 - 00070A codes (before BD-P1500 was added) and most of the functions worked with exception of pause......which I was not able to get to Learn either (altho editor indicated a good learn).

Has anyone got this working?

Or any tips?

Do a search before asking a question:

Tom Thanks - that did the trick.

So I have it working with modified BD-P1400 codes. Does not really explain why the URC BD-P1500 pre-programmed codes or learning did not work but at least its working.

FWIW I did try search but had searched for BD-P1500 and it did not bring up any matches.

From what I can see the BD-P1400 has everything other than the Bonusview function.

I've tried to Learn the IR code for this and get "Good" back but it does not operate the Bonusview feature.

Is there anything else I can try?

Can you tell me if my OneForAll remote will operate my ceiling fan? It's an RF remote, and the salesman said that's what I needed.

And for that matter, my fireplace too.

Tom - Starting to wonder why I posted for help now. My query was valid, the MX-980 is NOT working with the URC pre-programmed database for the Samsung BD-P1500 nor will it learn from the remote. So what's your problem with that?

Smokinghot - thanks for your assistance. I hope there are many more like you on the forum that offsets the negative attitude of Tom.

Noticed that there is a new IRDB for the MX-980 (v1.87) but alas the Pause issue still present and no Bonusview still......reverted back to the modified BD-P1400 with Slow- for pause.

Has anyone managed to get Bonusview working?

I've installed several bdp1500's. They work great for about a week and stop reading disks. So don't worry about the codes not working 'cause you will be back to replace the dvd player.

OK - back after nearly a year..... and player still working but still have not got the Bonusview working on the MX-980 remote...... I see none of the Samsung Blu-ray players in the URC database list the Bonusview button.

Has anyone gotten the BonusView to work via the MX-980 to a Samsung Blu-ray player? If yes how?

Thanks

Is this just a button on the remote?? I'm sure if it is a button it can be learned in. Does it work on the original remote? If it works on the original, it can be learned. If it does not work with the original remote, it will not work on the 980.

Yeah - its a button on remote. I had tried to learn it previously via the MX editor without success..... its not a big deal as I've not come accross a Bonusview disc in a long while and seldom use special features anyway.

Only reason I brought it up again is because was making some changes to the remote programming and remembered was something I could not get to work last time.
