I was wondering if any has experience working with Jamo Abus products. Im programming an 850/300 combo for a simple tv & dvd system. In the room he has an Abus KP that is hooked up to speakers for his music sources. The ABUS hub is located near the mrf300 and the rest of the equpment. Is there a way I can tap into the KP in that room with a flasher from the mrf300 to shoot IR codes to it instead of pointing the remote at the KeyPad itself. Kinda like adding an IR Reciever to it but im just splicing on an IR IN and GND. Really I need to know what colors of the CAT5 to splice into. Elan has those VSE that you can get the pinouts for. I need the pinouts for the Jamo Abus KP's. There, why didn't I say that to begin with. Thanks -Brian

IF I understand it correctly, what you want to do is directectly connect the IR out of the MRF300 directly to the ABUS system and I am guessing you want to control Volume?

The only way to do this is to bring the IR Flasher to the ABUS keypad itself.

Hey thanks for the reply.

Yeah thats what I wanna do mainly is control the volume. I figured if the ABUS KP was able to receive IR and even repeat IR commands back to the hub and out through IR flashers to connected equipment, there must be a way to spit IR into the KP but w/o sticking a flasher on the front of a finished KP in a clients home.

Does the Abus have any sort of IR in screw terminals on the back of the keypads? if so, just cut the emmitter head off, and wire one of the outputs of the MRF300 to the IR in on the keypad.

I am not sure, but on the Aussie ABUS Modules, you can place the IR emmitter under the circuit board of the module and it will "flash thru", give it a try.

Alternatively, stick it under the front cover.
