Anyone have codes for a DCT 3416 Mortorola Cable Box or a KDL-46XBR2 Sony Flat Screen? Both devices are new, just thought I'd see if anyone had them.

Thanks,
Rick

Chances are that the codes from other Motorola cable boxes will work just fine. Same with the Sony TV's. It can be a pain, but I'd try using codes from other devices.

Thanks, is there a way to update the IR database? When I registered, I downloaded the editor. But I don't see a way to ensure I have the latest codes.

Have you tried using the Live Update function in the Editor?

No response isn't good...
Boy all these comments, and issued with support from this company, wondering if I should return this one and go with a harmony? Anyone have experience with them?

Harmony puts out some decent remotes, but if you talk to most Custom Installers who have tried them in their installations, a lot of them go back later and remove them and put something in more robust, such as your MX-950.

Do you not have the original remotes from the components? If you do, you can teach the MX-950 and you are good to go.

Sometime down the road, I'm sure URC will have the codes in their database, which may or may not have codes that aren't actually on the original remotes, but learning will get you up and running pretty well now.

Personally, I wouldn't let my 950 go for any Harmony remote out there.
