I have the pleasure of programming my first Mx-980. All is going well except for my power on/off macros seem to be all tied together. That is, the hard power buttons are the same in different watch pages. I've got two rf bases and two mrf 350's with the different rooms equipment set up in seperate watch pages. problem is every time I make a macro to power up or down, the macro's get copied over to the other rooms watch page. Any suggestions on how I can seperate them? Or, am I going about this the wrong way...

Thanks in advance

It sounds like you have 2 seperate systems but am not quite sure, if that is the case
you need to change the receiver ID numbers so that both are set on different #'s

Program
# 7 RF control
receivers
receiver ID

i have no experience with any RF stations so cant help you there. but what did throw me off when 1st programming this unit, is you cant have different commands on the same hard buttons within the same device page group. ie:you cant have a macro on your power buttons, then change to the next page and have a different macro on the power buttons there. you will need to make a dummy device with a page that has your 2nd zone macro's on it, or put your zone 2 under LISTEN, and zone 1 under WATCH.

personally i would make a ZONE 2 button on your main watch page, that simply jumps to a page in a dummy device that has all your ZONE 2 macro's on it, and then of course you can assign different macros and commands to all the hard buttons there.

i hope that made sense, all the best!

I do have two separate systems in two separate rooms. Each room has an Mrf 350 that is set to a different ID and they both control their respective components flawlessly.

I have 2 watch pages and 2 listen pages. Press the hard "WATCH" button and it jumps to a room room selection (watch) page. Select "Theater" and it jumps to the actual Activity (watch) page. Select Blu-ray and all of the components in the theater get right to business and you're wating a movie in the theater. If you'd selected Living room all of the components work in there as well.

The snag is, the hard ON/OFF buttons. Whatever I program in any one of the WATCH/LISTEN pages regarding these buttons is reflected in all of them. They're permanently linked, with no obvious unhitching feature.

I'm sure there is a fix for this, but it isn't obvious. I was thinking of making my Watch activity page a device page, but that seems to defeat the purpose of the watch page.

Makes perfect sense, wish I'd thought of that at 11:00 last night...

Thanks
