Check your "Live Update". The IR database has been updated to 1.83 and the KP-900 and MX-980 have been added to the MSC-400 import.

Yea, perfect timing (I was going to start working the MSC-400). But gee, couldn't they have added my Denon AVP to the IR database. I mean it's been out for at least 8 days now :-).

I'm not sure if this is a "Perfect Storm" but today after updating to Vista SP-1 and then performing a perfect Live Update download I can no longer connect to my MX-900. The specific error message is, "Unable to connect [SC-1]".
I fired up my Windows XP computer, retired last May, and the software-to-remote connection was perfect.

Garrett, the MX-900 does work on my Vista basic. The only I can't get to run is the MX-950, which was stated and true from URC. Do a restart, unplug/plug in USB cable etc... Good luck.

After reading the reply mentioning bluetooth I did a test. I have been running with two wireless mice, each using a separate USB transceiver. The second mouse is used in the home theater. After unplugging its transceiver my connection to the MX-900 is again rock solid.

What is new in this update? As I mentioned in my original post, the IR database has been updated. Other changes are dependent on the particular remote.

MX-900 Editor Version 1.10.125 Firmware: 1.54 IR DB: 1.83 ------ Hello, Yes I am also now showing those versions in my MX900 EDITOR, however, the REMOTE itself is showing the following versions after Live Update: Edit 1.00 S/W 1.54 IR 1.12 I'm concerned with the IR showing 1.12 instead of the expected 1.83 - is there a way to update this in the remote itself? If so, please be specific, as I'm new to URC. Thanks!

If after a live update you don't see the latest version, uninstall/reinstall, then try live update again.

Did you check the IR version on the remote *before* the upgrade? It could be that the master URC IR DB version number is unrelated to the MX-900 IR DB version number.
